Post Help: legacy ratling deck
A friend of mine wants to play a legacy ratling deck, but since he started playing 6 months ago he has no idea of either the legacy enviroment or the ratling decks.
I play since KD so i didn't get to see rats in action (my first kotei was during SE) and i'm just getting into legacy (with my faceless dragon deck) so i can't help him.

Do you guys have a decklist (or a few) that we can see? If you could post an explanation of how to play the deck it would be awesome, but just a decklist would be fine. Better if it's updated, but we're at 0 ideas now so anything helps!

Thanks!

Ratling in legacy can go two ways.

The basic version would be the breeder swarm deck. The stronghold would be the Depths of the Shinomen. There are a lot of rats that would go well in the deck. Tchikchuk and the equivalent Kan'ok'tichuck should probably be in every ratling deck. The goal is to have an overwhelming number of units in play that renders any military defence useless. This deck should be really easy to get the cards for as they were mostly commons and uncommons in Lotus Edition.

A more difficlut deck is based off the Warrens of the One Tribe stronghold. The idea is to quickly discard as much of both you and your opponents decks. You then use the discards against your opponent. It is something like having a much larger fate hand.

This is a ratling swarm deck that got second at Gencon 2008 Legacy. Nowadays this kind of deck is much weaker because under CE rules 2nd turn attack is easier to stop.

LOL I played against that player in that tourney, sadly an unnamed official was biased against me and ruled me the loser after he conceded. Was good deck, but can be stymied hard if a turn 2 defense is mounted. Otherwise rats are easy, but telegraphed.
