A ficathon is a storytelling game played by a group of writers. Each writer submits two story-seeds (one sentence plot ideas) to the coordinator, who then randomizes them and sends them out. Each writer then takes one (or more) of the story seeds they've received and writes a story from it.
The Ricepaper Society (the writer's group I belong to) has played this game three times, and many of the resulting stories can be found here. I have temporarily stickied the stories from the most recent one for convenience.
